Working for the world

At Oshkosh Corporation, we’re committed to making a difference in people’s lives. That drives us to design products that empower people and keep them safe. To support causes that represent the best of humanity. And to preserve our planet for generations to come.

Improving the everyday

From fire trucks to refuse haulers, defense vehicles to access equipment, we’re working behind the scenes across five continents to help users handle tough jobs and improve everyday life around the globe.

Caring for the planet

Environmental responsibility is a key part of our sustainability strategy, driving us to reduce waste, limit emissions and engage team members and communities in environmental stewardship.

Giving back

We’re proud to sponsor community efforts around the world, supporting worthy causes — from food pantries to helping youth succeed in life and job skills — with more than $2.6M in annual giving through the Oshkosh Corporation Foundation and our business segments.

Setting the standard

We're committed to doing the right thing. Always. That’s why we follow a robust global ethics and compliance program, uphold a strict supplier code of conduct and take pride in our recognition as one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies.
We take pride in setting a path for the future

Oshkosh hosted 80 Girl Scouts for a junior automotive engineering badge day. The girls rotated through a series of activities led by our STEM engagement team which included a LEGO derby, CD car assembly and an engineering design overview presentation. They leveraged the engineering design process to concept, design, test and iterate their cars using newfound knowledge to increase speed and distance. Our team members are committed to helping the youth in our communities discover a passion for STEM-related careers.

Caring for our communities

We’re lucky to call so many communities around the world home and we’re eager to help them thrive. We work hard to give back, championing causes like youth mentorship, supporting local non-profits and volunteering thousands of hours each year.

Helping at home

Oshkosh team members volunteered more than 21,300 hours worldwide in 2023, making a difference through community service initiatives and events like Good to Give Back Month and Feed the Body, Feed the Soul.

Paying it forward

From leading fire safety training for students in Beijing to sponsoring global STEM education initiatives, we’re championing youth mentorship and education worldwide.

Growing together

With 125 facilities, approximately 18,000 team members and community events held around the world, we’re proud to serve as an engine of economic growth in the communities we call home.
Education makes progress possible

That’s why Oshkosh partnered with Wave Robotics to sponsor seven local students and two adults to participate in a workshop and competition hosted by the China Urban Youth Robotics Alliance, an organization working to expand the number of FIRST robotics teams in China. Wave, along with 11 other American teams and five international teams, participated in three days of workshops to help rookie Chinese teams build a competition-ready robot, with more than 40 teams competing to design and program the best robot.

Empowering difference-makers

The equipment is just one part of the equation. Our products are built to complement the skills and vision of those who use them, giving users the courage, confidence and power to make a difference in the world around them.

Challenging impossible

With more than 800 active patents and cutting-edge technologies like the Ascendant® aerial apparatus, our products empower users in ways others can’t match.

Designing together

Incredibly diverse and almost endlessly customizable, our vehicles and equipment are tailor-made to reflect the unique needs of the people who count on them.

Prioritizing peace of mind

With safety-boosting technology like the Command Zone integrated control and diagnostics system and the TAK-4 independent suspension system we’re helping users confidently conquer any challenge for their safety.

Building for a lifetime

We make products our users can count on to perform and to last — earning top marks for quality, service and, in the case of JLG’s G5 telehandler, industry awards for retained value.
Improving the way we work

“As a small volunteer department, we don’t get many opportunities for new apparatus. So we have to make it count. This unit is replacing a 1988 55’ ladder, which means we are able to reach twice as far with our new 110’ platform.”

- Chief Jon Hyman, Franklinville Fire District

Supporting team members

Our products make the headlines, but our team members make the difference. We’re committed to supporting a People First culture, providing exciting career development opportunities and standing by team members and their families in times of need.

Developing tomorrow’s leaders

With programs like our School to Work initiative, a commitment to internships and apprenticeships as well as thousands of available educational courses, we’ve made professional development and career opportunity a top priority.

Helping team members in need

The Oshkosh Cares Fund supports team members in times of trauma, distributing over $47,000 to 20 families affected by disaster and severe illness in 2023.

Standing behind those who serve

Named a Military Friendly Employer each year since 2011, Oshkosh provides exceptional benefits and transitional support for more than 1,300 veteran and military servicemembers currently working on our team.

Championing diversity and engagement

We’re dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive culture, supported by employee resource groups for young professionals, women and veterans.

Encouraging team member growth

The Oshkosh Women’s Network (OWN) was founded in 2014 to support the professional development of women both within the company and the local community. OWN has several committees with opportunities for women to gain experience — roles that may not be part of their everyday responsibilities. The group offers team members multiple opportunities to connect through events like Leadership Insight Series presentations, community networking, mentoring and even paddle boarding. Events are open to all team members with a goal to create an environment across the globe that enables women to enhance and demonstrate their strengths.
