Work that moves the world forward

From the front lines to the firehouse, the people we serve are driven by a sense of purpose. The people who work here are no different. Oshkosh team members collaborate around the world and around the clock to build something greater than themselves. Because someone, somewhere is counting on us to make a difference.

Challenge the limits of possibility

For more than a century, our team members have worked to develop technology that changes the way the world moves. With industry-changing inventions under our belt and exciting innovations on the horizon, there’s never been a better time to join our team and be a part of creating what’s next.

Industry-leading innovations

There’s no tried and true formula for industry-leading innovation. For Design Engineer Megan Schultz, it started with impossibility. The JLG 1932R electric scissor lift looked almost impossible on paper, requiring a set of technologies at a price point that seemed unattainable. Undeterred, Megan and her team examined more than 60,000 possible combinations of parts and technologies to identify the ideal configuration for the new equipment, closely reviewing each detail to ensure the equipment could maximize performance without sacrificing value. Launched in 2016, the 1932R is JLG’s newest 19-foot scissor lift and plays an integral role in their industry leading product portfolio.

Join a culture that puts people first

People are the foundation of our business. That’s why we’re so focused on fostering a People First culture: a culture that empowers team members, inspires collaboration and prioritizes personal and professional development. Home to a diverse set of individuals, supportive employee business resource groups and a wide variety of perspectives and ideas, the Oshkosh team isn’t just different—it’s one of a kind. Advance your career while advancing industries

Moving the future forward is our priority. That includes your future. At Oshkosh, we encourage team members to be leaders in their own career development. We then work with each individual team member to provide the skills training, leadership opportunities and advanced education programs needed to achieve their personal and career goals.

No two career paths are the same

That’s what inspired us to create Your Oshkosh University. YOU isn’t a building or a website, it’s a philosophy—a commitment to helping each and every team member advance their career in their own way. With more than 500 online and in-person classes ranging from Defense Weld Certification to Export Controls to Communicating with Impact, YOU offers a myriad of opportunities to build knowledge, improve skills and abilities and work closely with leadership to influence the future of the company and the industries we serve.

Focus on your health and wellbeing

Living into a People First culture is more than taking care of team members at the office—it’s setting them up for success outside of it. We’re focused on supporting holistic wellbeing for everybody at Oshkosh, empowering team members to prioritize their mental, physical and emotional health. That’s why we account for everything from financial retirement to social, emotional and community wellness, ensuring you have everything you need to comfortably pursue good health and personal wellness.

Taking time to refresh

Wellbeing looks a little different for everyone. For Talent Acquisition Senior Manager Jan Zizzo, it comes in the form of a daily Peace of Mind walk. Jan’s role is challenging, making a midday refresh critical not just for her wellbeing, but also for her team’s success. Every day, rain or shine, Jan steps outside around lunchtime to clear her mind and recalibrate her focus. Beyond the physical benefits gained by staying active, her daily walk allows her to reengage with her team invigorated and refreshed, putting the team in prime position to successfully tackle the rest of their day. Over time, the Peace of Mind walk has become an institution for Jan’s coworkers too—a sacred block of time the team knows not to interrupt.
